Music
The Bird and the Bee
Music club met up last weekend. Highlights included Ed’s jambalaya, fakin’ it and makin’ it, and literal videos of A-Ha and Bonnie Tyler’s Total Eclipse of the Heart.
But the download winner was The Bird and the Bee’s Hall and Oates Tribute album. Late night work just got better…
What I'm listening to:
Passion Pit (Recommended to me by RoyalBob)
I’m thinking Postal Service, Black Kids, and Broken Social Scene.
Blitzen Trapper
I’ve been listening non-stop to their new album, Furr. I loved their debut album, but this follow up is much more focused on what they are so good at: 70s rock melodies. Oh yeah.
Stay tuned.
I’ve been MIA. Again. The good news is internet connection will be restored tomorrow at my new home. Hooray! Lots of stuff to report on soon, I promise!
In the meantime, listen to some happy music!
Today's musical selection.

Don’t you love it when you get reintroduced to music? Last night, I went to the Can Can
and was super excited when they started playing the Knife during their act. It made the
Can Can that much hotter.
So for today’s coke session, I’ll be bobble heading to these fine Swedes.
Showtime, Synergy! (and more Le Tigre)
OMG. Ok, so I was never into Barbies growing up (thanks, Mom for not buying them for me), BUT I loved Jem) and the Holograms! I had all the dolls**, stickers, coloring books (which by the way, I was an awesome “colorist” during my early years)… I think I even had a Jem beach towel. So imagine my happiness when I saw this!!!!
**I am still sad that I sold the dolls at a garage sale in Exeter. I think I was asking for a hefty price of $5 a piece and was sad when they had to go on clearance for $1 a piece! Obviously, people didn’t see the value of them back in the early 90s. I wish I just kept them.
