Homework for a friend…

My friend Kate/Cool Face Kate/Grad School Kate has a thing for secrets (and asking for favors)! Check out what I’m talking about on her blog, Mi Piace Kate.

Post-birthday report

Um, what happened to July, and why does it seem like the summer is almost over? Oh, right— it’s October in Seattle today and it’s making me tired. Apologies for the lack of reporting during the month of July—internet was down for a week, it got ridiculously hot, internet was restored, and then there was a laptop incident (RIP G4 Powerbook).

But, since I just received a belated birthday present, I feel it necessary to go back and provide a post-birthday report. Since nothing could top the banana party of last year, this year was a bit more low key with happy hour cocktails at my favorite summertime bar, Zig Zag Café and feasting at Green Leaf in the International District. We ate so much food, I can’t remember what we ordered, but it was really, really good!

To end the evening right, Regenius (honky) brought Chinese birthday pastries for dessert for me (chonky)! And even though there was no banana cake this year, I did get monkeys in a banana kayak…

and an owl from Illinois… whoo whoo!

XO to all my favorites. You know who you are.

Me and Friend

November 22, 2008

On the way home from Everett, Jfun said:

“Hey, if you get knocked up and the guy’s a loser— I’m your man.”*
Jfun, you’re my favorite. You’d be an awesome dad.

*I was a little tipsy when Jfun said this to me, so I can’t say it’s word for word.
But you get the point…

It's a banana party!

Things have been slow here at blog o’ itterog, which means I’ve been busy, busy, busy. July is my favorite month and here’s how I celebrated the big three-o:

Pre-partied with the girls at Chez Roberts; noshed on paté et baguettes; started my list; sized the girls up; dolled up, glammed up; got Digleria in a dress; found the hideout; drank andy warhols; received lovely roses; got reprimanded for rosé; ate a banana cake with chopsticks; laughed, cried, kissed; drank some more; went to vito’s; danced like fools; chatted with big mama; got fresh air; said goodbyes; and lost my voice…

<3 all my friends for my making it the best night ever.
