Baby action.
I’ve noticed lately that I’ve been getting A TON of photographer promo emails at work lately. Sometimes they go in my junk folder and sometimes they just lurk in my inbox. I hate them. I try to be good and at least download the image in the email, but usually it’s a huge disappointment. I really do get satisfaction from deleting them to keep my inbox clean. Anyway, I got one of these emails last week and instead of instantly trashing it, I opened it and was pleasantly surprised.
I loved the work— even though it was promoting baby and kid photography, which usually is all too much for me. And maybe it’s all the baby action going on around me lately (Hi, Isaac!) that’s made me all “oh” and “cute”, but really, this is good stuff.
After checking out the photographer’s site, which was also very cool, I recognized some of the work. Turns out she shoots a lot of photography for Lotta Jansdotter’s books, a textile artist/designer extraordinaire that I really admire. Which goes to show me that I shouldn’t be so quick to judge next time I get the urge to clean my inbox. There’s good stuff out there, even if it’s in the trash.
